Activities

1. FRESH PASTA FACTORY

The activity comprised the reconstruction of the premises of the fresh pasta factory, including the infrastructure for supplying energy products, purchasing new production equipment and erecting the warehouse premises. In parallel, we made the Fresh Pasta Factory Facility more energy efficient to comply with the requirements of the Rational Use of Energy (RUE). The investment was co-funded under sub-measure 4.2 Support for investments in the processing, marketing or development of agricultural products for 2016 for legal persons who are large enterprises

Summary

Our company took part in the tender procedure to obtain funds from it.

The investment comprised several sets:

  • Renovation (reconstruction) of the existing facility and transformation into the Fresh Pasta Factory including the improvement of its energy efficiency.
  • New construction of the transformer station.
  • Purchase of technology equipment for producing fresh pasta and potato dough products.
  • Replacement of supply with compressed air and heat supply in the sense of efficient energy use.
  • Erection of a prefabricated warehouse for raw materials.

The investment is eligible from the aspect of the required co-funding investment criteria (RR, NPV, PP). The investment was urgent due to the modernisation of the technological process and the need for new capacities.

The facility reconstruction will include all procedures necessary for providing space for the planned technology. All internal sealings including the existing flooring and all installations will be removed. The design of the new facility complies with the required technology or successive operations, raw material preparation as well as manufacture and storage of products.  Separate male and female wardrobes, a common space and an office will be arranged on one part of the floor. The central production area will be divided into two parts. The first will be intended for dough preparation and fresh pasta production, and the second for packaging. A refrigeration room, a cold room and a dispatch department will be arranged in the remaining part of the area.

A new standard transformer station will be built on plot No. 1462/1. It will be a standard facility made of reinforced concrete. The transformer station will be named 20/04kV 1000kWA – OLJNA. Electric and mechanical installations will connect the transformer, heat and compression station with the users in the reconstructed facility of the new Fresh Pasta Factory. A small bridge for steam piping will be arranged running to the neighbouring facility of the boiler room for this purpose. The bridge will be an independent structure on two steel pillars and a bar support. Plumbing, sewage system, heating and ventilation will be rearranged at the facility. New steam piping will run to the facility from the existing energy station (boiler room).

The purchase of the new technological equipment which will be set up in the facility of the Fresh Pasta Factory comprises the purchase of individual machines and their connection in the production line. The first line is intended for the production of fresh pasta (ravioli, cappelletti, sacchettini, etc.) and the second for manufacturing potato dough products (gnocchi, dumplings). Both lines form an independent completed technological whole.

The RUE Project will comprise the thermal insulation of the building, CLEAN ROOM technological equipment, rational lighting, heat recovery and replacement of equipment for preparing compressed air.

The technological process in the new facility requires air and heat supply in the form of hot water and steam. Within the framework of the project, the old compressor for compressed air along with the installation will be replaced with a new one, which will be rational and energy efficient.

A concrete platform for the prefabricated warehouse – tent will be arranged at the exit from the dispatch department The prefabricated tent will be intended for storing packaging.

Main activities

Fresh filled pasta and potato dough products will be manufactured in the fresh pasta factory. The production process will be modern, relatively automated and in compliance with the achievements of the profession and the requirements for achieving premium quality and high standards. The current production programme will be complemented, extended with the production capacity increased.

Objectives:
  • Production modernisation and automation.
  • Maintenance of the existing jobs and reduction in the extent of physical work, possibility of new employment.
  • Assurance of premium product quality in accordance with the highest standards of international trade associations.
  • Mitigation of climate changes due to implementing RUE measures.

The investment will also contribute to achieving the following horizontal objectives:

  1. Mitigation of climate changes and adaptation to them from the following two aspects:
  • The reconstruction of the facility where fresh pasta production will be set up will be carried out in such manner that the investment will contribute to efficient energy use. Heat loss in the construction of buildings will be reduced by using materials with greater thermal insulation, with equipment contributing greatly to the reduction of energy consumption installed in the facility.
  • Rational technology (clean room) will be introduced within the framework of the investment, with rational lighting also installed, the system of compressed air production replaced, and waste heat recovery arranged efficiently.
  1. Promotion of innovation: The technology will enable the manufacture of products not included in the company’s current range of products.
Expected results:
  • More rational manufacture of the basic products.
  • Better offer of premium products.
  • Achievement of greater cost effectiveness and value added per employee.
  • Achievement of greater competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets.
  • Reduction in consumed energy per unit of product.
  • Carbon footprint reduction.

2. PACKAGING LINE FOR GRAIN MILL PRODUCTS

The activity comprised the purchase of a packaging line for grain mill products. After the prior adaptation of infrastructure in the room by carrying out investment maintenance works, the installation of the new packaging line replaced the current obsolete equipment. The investment was co-funded under sub-measure 4.2 Support for investments in the processing, marketing or development of agricultural products for 2016 for legal persons who are large enterprises.

Summary

The subject of the project is to arrange a new packaging line on the first floor of the existing facility of the mill.

Investment maintenance comprises the removal of the existing equipment and partitions with doors, arrangement of the place for the needs of the new packaging line, preparation of access for bringing the packaging line in, as well as sound and fire arrangements on the first floor of the mill.

The purchase of the new technological equipment consists of the purchase of the packaging line for packaging grain mill products.

The investment is eligible from the aspect of the required co-funding investment criteria (IRR, NPV, PP). It was urgent due to the modernisation of the technological process and the need for higher productivity.

Main activities

The equipment for packaging grain mill products was installed in the Mill facility. The production process is modern and in compliance with the achievements of the profession and the requirements for achieving quality and high hygiene standards. The current production programme was complemented and extended with new products.

Objectives:

  • Production modernisation and automation by increasing productivity.
  • Maintenance of the existing jobs and reduction in the extent of physical work and the possibility of new recruitment.
  • Assurance of premium product quality following the highest standards of International Trade Associations.

The investment will also contribute to the following horizontal objectives:

  1.  Promotion of innovation:
    • The technology will enable the manufacture of products not included in the company’s current range of products.
  2. Production of organic products
    • The equipment purchased will enable the manufacture of organic products as well.
